The old police departments of Helsingborg, Landskrona and Ängelholm
have
been merge into one central police department.
The name of the new
police department is Polis Område Nordvästra Skåne PONV.
The Police Chief´s residence is in Helsingborg.
 The new police headquarter in Helsingborg. Besides the three cities of Helsingborg, Landskrona and Ängelholm, the parishes of Höganäs, Bjuv, Klippan, Båstad, Svalöv, Åstorp and Örkelljunga are also included. The population of the area consists of 296,000 residents, wich makes this the largest area in Scania County. There are 5 police department i Scania County. The canine unit consist of a commander/coordinator with a service dog and 15 doghandler. There are 4 neighbourhood sub-stations in the district. Foreign department, Local detective department (investigation, crime and narcotics) and a traffic department. |
